The Boy and His Poison: The Jungle Bird

I genuinely had something non-alcoholic lined up today (I swear) but once I'd got home, towelled away the rain and evaluated the depressing view from the window I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If the fickle British weather refuses to bring sunshine, I guess the only thing to do is put your faith in cocktails and when the skies are grey it's time to go Tiki.

Which brings us to the Jungle Bird. With pineapple juice, a Caribbean hit of rum and the Mediterranean tease of Campari, this cocktail will hit you with sun from at least three different angles. Maybe get the sunblock out, just to be careful.

You'll need:
  • 50ml pineapple juice
  • 50ml dark or golden Rum
  • 12ml (half a shot) Campari
  • 12ml (half a shot)  lime juice
  • 12ml Agave syrup (or 2:1 sugar syrup)
 Make it:
  • Shake all the ingredients over ice
  • Strain into an ice filled tumbler
