Like most people nowadays, I must conduct at least 90% of my correspondence via email. But a recent bout of snail mail action got thinking about the lost art of letter-writing, and especially what a shame it is to send letters on boring paper.
A personalised header, however basic, always gives such a good impression, and on those rare occasions when only a letter will do, it can make all the difference to your message. Not only does it give the reader some useful information, it also tells them a bit about you, your sense of style, and your personality.
Then I discovered Holly's Houses: a brilliant idea that allows you to send a little piece of your home with every letter you send. Artist Holly-Anne Rolfe creates custom illustrations and rubber stamps based on line drawings of her customers' houses.
If you'd like Holly to make you a rubber-stamp image of your house, all you need do is send her a clear picture of the building, and for £75 she'll create a bespoke stamp that you can use to make your own stationery.
For an original illustration that you can reproduce for years to come, I think it's an exceptionally good price! If you're already a prolific letter-writer, you'll find that you soon make back what you save in the cost of cards and fancy notepaper...
Holly's style is so simple and elegant that I'm sure she'd make even the shabbiest home look like a castle in her drawings, so wherever you live, her products will appeal.
