Wrapping up Warm: Heidi Seeker

I have a confession to make. I have a total girl-crush on Heidi Seeker. Her candy-striped website is kitsch, colourful and, some might say, an assault on the eyes. But her unique clothing, jewellery and other accessory ranges have me totally in awe of her talents, not to mention emerald with envy when I imagine what her wardrobe must look like. And even though January's finally finished (and thank heavens for that), it's still cold outside, so here's a selection of my favourites to help keep you toasty but looking kitsch and cartoon-tastic too.

Similar to Domestic Sluttery favourites Tatty Devine and Lady Luck Rules OK, Heidi Seeker's accessories and clothes are whimsical and playful. This means they're hardly the most sophisticated or glamorous items in the world, but they're definitely original and certain to get attention. At the risk of looking even more like a crazy cat lady than usual, I'm tempted by this cat hat. It's only £9, but if it's too bizarre for you, there's also tamer polka-dot berets, and ones which can be personalised with your name. So no-one will steal your hat when they're round your house and it's raining outside. Although we accept no responsibility for lunatics on the bus that address you by name when you're wearing it.

These cupcake earmuffs with pom-pom cherries are only £6, and will make your ears look good enough to eat. They're weather-proofed and thermally insulated to keep you snug even in the blizzards.

And last but not least, my personal favourite is this cute and kitschy t-shirt, which, if you so desire, you can have personalised with the name of your significant other. (Or anything else you love, like 'booze,' 'cake', 'tea' or 'Twilight.' Whatever takes your fancy, as long as it's less than 12 characters. We won't judge you.) It'd even make a quirky Valentine's present, although it might be one to avoid if it's still early days. Could be a bit overkill. We don't want any hearts broken. It's £20, and you'll need to order by the end of the week for Valentine's Day deliveries.
