These vintage baking trays from RE are perfect for making everything from dainty sugar-dusted teacakes to individual gin jellies. Or if you can't be bothered to fiddle around greasing them, you could just leave them hanging around as pretty kitchen clutter.
RE is based in an old warehouse in Corbridge near Newcastle, and is packed with all sorts of other lovely housewares like this milk glass citrus press or these budgie-embroidered napkins.
Luckily, you can also order online, although it might be pot luck which patterned tin you get. The tins cost £12.50 each, and there are also plain versions for £7.50.

I LOVE them - so cute! Much more fun than boring plain ones...
ReplyDeleteAnd a massive thank you for the link to RE, I saw the site a while back, forgot to bookmark and haven't been able to find it since - you have definitely come to the rescue!
Oh those are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOhh, I was so excited when you said it was in Cambridgeshire, but I think you must have misread it - it's in Corbridge, near Newcastle...
ReplyDeleteOoh thanks Aimee. We'll slap Alex E on the wrist when she's back from her holiday.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, you can buy all the pretty online.
AT LAST! Having spent so long lusting after cakes the other end of the country, something in the North East! Hurrah! I can at least make my own cakes in these... xxx
