Cocktail Hour: The Gimlet

The book I'm reading at the moment has a character who says the Gimlet is "the only cocktail worth drinking". I have no idea if that's true, because I've never had one. So as soon as I've finished type type typing away, I promise to pop to a bar and get me one. They do sound quite tasty.

If you fancy making your own, you'll need these things:

• 50ml Gin
• 25ml lime juice

Throw into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake it about. And then pour into a martini glass. Serve with a wedge of lime. That's just about the easiest cocktail recipe I've ever written. So now the only thing left for you to do is drink some more...
