The Prince Charles Cinema Pyjama Party

Last night, while watching 10 Things I Hate About You, the discussion of the best teen girl film cropped up. It always does, doesn't it? For most of you it's probably Clueless ("you're a virgin who can't drive.") but I can't deny that I adore Bring It On and the spirit fingers. As much as Clueless? I'm not sure.

So I'm going to watch them all in one go. Well, as many as London's Prince Charles Cinema can show in one night. They're having themselves a pyjama party on June 2nd and not only will they be showing films all night, they'll have our favourite teen boardgames. Remember this?

I always wanted Dreamphone when I was a kid. Can I let you into a secret? I've never played it. I also kind of hated the pretty girls in the advert. I'm over it now. Honest.

Turn up in your PJs with a sleeping bag and blanket, and snuggle down (with a large flask of coffee) to watch your very favourite teen movies. Tickets are £25. We'll be bringing cookies.

Thanks to JazandJuls on Twitter for telling us about this. Extra cookies for you.

  1. Oh my god, I've made the mistake of booking a holiday for while this is on. I clearly need to cancel.

  2. "We may also have a Fort Building competition if enough people bring blankets." This sounds awesome.

  3. I really wanted a Dreamphone too and was super jealous of the girls in the advert. I have also never played it. I want to go to this rather a lot.

    1. It'll be worth it just for the Clueless quotes.

  4. AMAZING! I never had a Dreamphone either (sob!) but I did get to use my friends once. You could actually hear BOYS on the phone, who sounded sooooo good looking. I think they all American boy names like Brad and Chad and Cory... I think I might have been in love with Brad.

    1. Loved the American names. And the blonde sweepy hair.

  5. DREAMPHONE! That was the best game ever. I used to love it when the guy said "You're RIGHT! I really LIKE YOU!" when you won like he was a bit over-keen and slightly creepy.

I just googled it so I could remember the exact phrase he said, and LOOK WHAT I FOUND: http://www.dreamphone.com/ You can ACTUALLY still play this... online! Utterly mental and of course I'm not tempted at all...

  6. Dreamphone! Ahh I'd forgotten all about it. My rich friend had one, it was A-MAZING.

    1. Yeah, it was always your rich friends. The ones with the nice pencils cases.

  7. I have a Dream-Phone - I bought it when I was at uni a few years ago, as I always used to play it at a friend's. It is on my "Things to put onto eBay" pile, but I will donate it to the Sluts if you desire?

    1. Oh that's so kind of you! Have you played it recently? Is it still brilliant?

    2. I played it a few times after I got it, and yeah it's still amazing. "He doesn't like hotdogs" ;)

The pictures of the guys are the best though! You'll have to email me the Domestic Sluttery address and I shall post!

  8. Thanks for posting such kind words about our event. One of our regular and most favourite customers is loaning us her DREAMPHONE game for the night. It'll be an epic night all round, now to find myself some new PJ's for the event.

    Thanks again,

Paul @ The Prince Charles Cinema.
