Plus Size Picks: Three Ways To Wear a Party Dress

This week it's party time when it comes to plus size picks! The festive season may still be a little way off, but as finding the perfect party dress gets difficult the closer you get to the big day, a little bit of forward thinking may be required to find the right frock. I've created three looks that will get the most out of the black and gold bead and sequin dress from Desire (£55 in sizes 16 - 26) but these would work with any similar sparkly dress. The trick to making sequins like this work is to add one unexpected item - be it a touch of pastel, a printed accessory or coloured tights - which will stop you from looking too much like a Christmas decoration...at least until December.

Look One: Pop of Pastel

Miss L Fire Pandora shoes £104.99
Inspire shell pink blazer £22.99 (sizes 18 - 28)
Art deco hair comb £15.99 from Good Soul Vintage on Etsy
Gold hatched clutch bag £14.99 at H&M

Look Two: Brilliant Burgundy

Clarks Betsy Lockwood shoes £59.99 (wide fit available)
Burgundy shoulder bag £40 at Wallis
ASOS Curve peplum belt with gold plates £10 (sizes 18 - 28)
Gold multi jewel cocktail ring £10 at Debenhams
Burgundy plus size tights £5.99 at Pamela Mann

Look Three: Animal Magic

Louche Kat stud earrings £8 at Joy
Brown leopard print clutch £12.99 at New Look
Glitter low heel shoes £35 at Evans (wide fit)
Gold statement bracelet £10 at Dorothy Perkins
Suspender tights £16 at Simply Be (pack of two, sizes 12 - 30)
