Sale in the Spotlight: The V&A

Perusing the V&A's online shop is usually a surefire way to ensure my bank balance takes a beating. From free fashion goodies to horse-shaped false eyelashes, chances are that they'll have something to take our fancy. And when there's up to 50% off, we'll be first in the queue.

These black frond tights are by Les Queues de Sardines, the same designers as the yellow owl tights that fiercely divided opinion way back in August. These ones, though they still feature a bold and unique graphic print, are slightly less bonkers. And even the price tag is more sane. They're half price, reduced from £45 to £22.50.
This exclusive limited edition green jewel purse was designed by Louise Bachan. It's made from hand-printed leather and is lined with satin. Want it? It's reduced to £20 from £30, saving you a tenner.
Need a bright and floral statement ring to put a spring in your step and make you feel summery when it's wintry outside? This handmade anemone ring is made by French jewellery design house Cilia, and costs £26 in the sale (down from £35).
Last but least, there's this rather dapper top hat. No, I don't know when I'd wear it. But I want one. And at only £27 (reduced from £45), this might be my lucky day.
