Sluttery Fantasy: The Secret Box
What do guns and roses, robots, bears, cupids, a skull & crossbones, and a map of the world all have in common? They all feature on Do's amazing Sewing the World secret box. It's covered in so many pretty things I literally can't stop looking at it - I highly recommend a gander at the zoomed image on the website to see the finer details.
It opens up into what is obviously designed to be a sewing box, but I think I'd use mine to squirrel away papers and trinkets. The drawer at the front will house my most favourite things (postcards, my store of origami animal notecards, and the like), because I will most definitely be opening it every day just so I can look at the dark and mysterious gun print inside it.
Although, I'm not really sure why I'm planning this far ahead, as realistically I don't think I'll be able to afford it unless I win £225 on a fluke lottery ticket.
That said, if I did have those exact funds I'm not sure I'd be able to choose between this and the Fixing the World secret box. It's a sexier dark black and grey design, and features yet more variety of designs: more robots, a rubber ducky, a rocket-ship and OHMYGOSH is that a Pacman board on the side? It is, you know.
Alas, I did not win the lottery this week (er, actually I didn't buy a ticket) so for now I shall just have to stare longingly at the photos. Unless... someone else wants to buy it for me? Anyone? No? Meanies.
