Cocktail Hour: Salty Dog

Everyone seems to be well into the gin cocktails at the moment. Which is fine with me - I'm a huge lover of the 'mother's ruin' tipple. I can tell how much of it I'm drinking and that's something that I can't do with vodka (not that it ever stops me, I'm just aware that I should have stopped drinking two hours previous). But, I'm keen to try this Salty Dog recipe.

You'll need:
  • 35ml Gin
  • 70ml Grapefruit juice
  • Orange slice
  • Ice cubes
  • Pinch of salt
Shake it!

Pop the ice in an old fashioned glass, sprinkle salt over the top of the cubes. Add the gin and grapefruit juice, stir and serve with the slice of orange.

  1. Is it a slice of orange or a slice of lemon? Or doesn't it matter?

  2. Heeee! That's a curious mistake! I reckon orange will work better with grapefruit. Sorry for the error!

  3. Maybe you should write up the post before sampling the cocktail lol;)
