Little Hands Bakery is run by Siobhan Watts, the very same Siobhan who runs The Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green, East London. She's a very busy lady. But, she wasn't too busy to make us some tasty cakes for our birthday party last month. In fact, she baked up a storm for us.
I was curious about how these cakes would go down with everyone, because they're actually vegan. No eggs! In a cake! Instead, Siobhan uses rapeseed oil and soya milk most of the time, although sometimes soya yoghurt too. And y'know what? I couldn't tell the difference. In fact, no one could. Because they're really really tasty. If anything, they're even more chocolatey than other cupcakes I've tried. I'd happily order them again.
I can't wait to get myself over to The Gallery Cafe, but in the meantime, I might just order from Little Hands. Prices start from £10 for six. A yummy, tasty bargain.

These look so yummy! what icing was on top - i think I spy crystallised ginger maybe?
ReplyDeleteGood spot Melanie! The icing is lemon cream cheese frosting with crystalised ginger on a gingerbread cupcake.
ReplyDeleteWe actually had chocolate ones at the party, but these looked so pretty in their photo!
