Are you coming to our summer picnic?

In just over a week (weather permitting) we'll be pitching up in Regent's Park for out Sluttery Summer picnic! The exact location to be determined, but you can expect to find us somewhere near the rose garden. If you haven't put Saturday 19th June in your diaries, make sure you do.

What can you expect? Well all the usual picnic things (obviously). There will definitely be frisbees and footballs, but feel free to bring your own as well. We're hoping that someone will bring us a puppy to play with. Picnics are more fun with puppies. Kids are more than welcome, although we can't promise that we won't be tipsy.

We've also got Amanda from Nonesuchthings coming to see us with her travelling shop. So, make sure you've got some pennies. Everything she sells is gorgeous and you'll want to buy something. If we haven't snapped it all up before you arrive.

The English Cheesecake Company have kindly donated us yummy cheesecakes (football shaped! for the World Cup!) but if you are coming, please bring something with you that you're happy to share. Sharing is the very best bit of a picnic (actually, potato salad is pretty good too), and we don't want people not chipping in. We'll be baking and making, but we can't provide everything. Your booze is of course your own unless you want to share. The Domestic Sluts rarely share their gin...

And of course, expect lots more secrets and surprises. We do like a bit of mystery.

We've checked the weather and apparently is sunny and warm. If it's not, we'll hole up in a pub somewhere. Or, we'll dance in the rain. Just follow us on Twitter and wait for Facebook updates, if the weather a looking a bit questionable. We'll kick off at midday, until all of the food and drink has gone, and you can RSVP here.

Can't wait to meet you all next week!

  1. Can't wait! And I know long-range forecasts mean nothing, but for what it's worth, it's looking like being a lovely day for it :)

  2. What do you mean they MEAN NOTHING? I'm pinning all of my hopes on that!

  3. I may be able to convince my BFF to bring her handsome black labrador. He's not a puppy, but he acts like one.

  4. I'm going to a wedding, but if I wasn't I'd definitely be there! Free cheesecake? I'm jealous!

I am worried about this event - in the desrciption you suggest that there will be the ritual slaughter of some kind of cow. Now I am not a vegetarian but I have heard about how they carry out this slaughter and the thought that you would be hacking a cow to death in Regents Park chills me to the bone, can you guarantee there will be no animal killing or even evidence of mutilated pigs heads on sticks and other brutality? A laugh's a laugh but this is serious.
