Design Porn: Sweet William Designs

How could you improve on breakfast in bed? Simple - add some bunting that twirls around your generously sized teapot, mugs, egg cups, jug and even plate.


Sweet William Designs are perfectly named. They make cute crockery that's quaint but not dainty - sturdy mugs, jugs for both milk and flowers, and colanders that could actually be used. They very kindly sent me some goodies to keep for myself.


I don't want to mention the R**** W****** (I'm going to block my ears and sing 'la la LA' whenever it's mentioned between now and May - do you think that will work?) but their bunting print celebrates Britishness in a slightly more subtle way than Union Jack boxers ever could.


It's perfect present material, especially because their hand painted ceramics can be personalised with the name of who you're giving it to. In my case, the teapot would have 'MINE' engraved on it.

Hands off. I need all the tea. I'm British, don't you know?

    Patriotism aside, I just really really REALLY love bunting, ergo this is PERFECT for me! That teapot has just skipped right to the top of my wishlist. :)

    Love these. Bunting usually annoys me. Flags too. Somehow together they're not really overly twee. So impressed.
