I hadn't heard of The Bennett until recently, but it sounds like the best of both worlds. Might make myself one this evening.
You'll need:
- juice of half a lime
- 50ml gin (old Tom gin was traditionally used, apparently)
- 1/2 teaspoon of powdered or icing sugar
- 2 dashes of orange bitters
Throw everything into a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a little lime if you fancy it. Enjoy!
