Swans at Oasis

Oasis are having a bit of a swan-like transformation this season. They've gone from being over-priced and rubbish, to actually having some really beautiful pieces on their rails. They're like the ugly duckling of the high street. Which is apt, given that my current favourite pieces all have a cute swan print on them.

Not just a beautiful print, but a GORGEOUS shaped blouse. I love the pleating and it'll look brilliant tucked into jeans. I think it'll make me look very tall. It's £45 and looks much more expensive.

If blouses aren't really your thing, the same print appears on a skater dress. This is £55. I can see me wearing this all the time, and maybe wearing tights that co-ordinated with the little colourful swans.

It's cold out. I have to start buying proper sweaters. Like this one, which is £48 and looks super snuggly. Impressive transformation, Oasis.

Like all this stuff? Today Oasis are doing their 90 minute delivery for 90p. I've tested it out and they really do deliver in super speedy record time. Go shop!

  2. 90p/90min? BLIIMY!

I must say they have always struck me as a younger version of M&S- connotations of all that is frumpy in a nice, middle class, middle income young woman who finds Topshop a bit racy. But these might change my mind, they are bright and quirky.

  3. What a lovely description of them! They don't do quirky very often, but their classic pieces can be beautiful. And their 90 minute delivery sales are so much fun - they've done it twice now. I've ordered shoes again.

  4. I'd love to see them deliver to the Isle of Wight in 90 minutes...helicopter?

  5. They've actually rolled the 90 minute delivery out to a lot of places in the UK and they're doing more. As the couriers pick up from the shops rather than a warehouse I think this something that will happen in every store soon enough. Don't recall if there was an Oasis on the Isle? It's been a while since i was there. But if there is, it's a possibility in the future.

  6. Have you seen the birds at French Connection? There is a cream blouse in particular that's to die for.

  8. I've always quite liked Oasis stuff. Pretty sure I couldn't ever be described as 'frumpy'. Got me a bit worried now... :(

  9. Maybe frumpy is a bit harsh, but they're certainly more classy and grown up than some high street brands. I can't quite picture them doing little bdoy con dresses a la Warehouse.

  10. Classy and grown up sounds much nicer, thanks Siany. ;) I do see what you mean though.

It's difficult for women in their early 30's to find decent stuff on the high street, I think. Everything feels either slightly too young or too old.
Then it's either office-y type clothes, 'going out' dresses or stuff more aimed at the early 40's yummy Mummy. There needs to be more choice for everyday wear.
Sorry, that turned into a slight rant.
