Wallpaper Wednesday: Elli Popp's Skeletons in the Closet
This Elli Popp wallpaper from Garrendenny Lane is a bit like a morbid Where's Wally? and I don't think there's anything wrong in the slightest about that. (Wait a second, is there a Where's Wally? wallpaper? You'd never have to have a conversation with people again, you'd just spend all night looking for his stripy little scarf.)
Skeletons in the Closet looks like an entirely normal wallpaper at first, all florals and pinks. Even the odd butterfly. Then look! A scary-looking squid! A skeleton pretending it's a flower! A rusty pair of scissors! Lots of very creepy stuff. Creepy and pretty together always works well.
I wish this wasn't £199 a roll. It would be hanging in my house if it wasn't. But, I think it would work really well for the inside of cupboards or wardrobes. A little goes a long way when you use it like that. Look! There's a bat! And a creepy doll!
I'm not getting bored of this paper any time soon. It'll keep you occupied until someone creates a Where's Wally? paper. Someone should really get on that.

Oh my goodness. This could be my favourite wallpaper EVER! I love that it looks all pretty and chintzy, then all the weird stuff pops out! Would be lovely to use to cover a table or something....like you say it's a bit too expensive for a whole room, but it'd be a great investment to use in smaller areas.
