Dream Dress: People Tree Sale

Last week I wrote about a gorgeous vintage boat dress on Love Miss Daisy. One of you bought it (does it fit? Is it wonderful?) but a couple of you mentioned that People Tree have a very similar boat dress. It's might not be vintage but it is ethically-made and available in sizes 8-16 AND in the People Tree sale at £37.50.

Oooh, nice finding, everyone. It's lovely, isn't it? The straps are very cute indeed. Y'know, I might even prefer this one. I'll be honest, I often avoid People Tree because while I'm all for ethical fashion, I don't often have eighty quid to spend on a new dress (if I did, it would go on this Orla Kiely number). But I've spent my tea break perusing the sale and now I'd very much like all of the dresses.

Love a navy polka-dot. I can't not go nuts for such a classic print and shape. The dress is 100% organic cotton and it's down to £38.50.

There are a lot of floral dresses in the People Tree sale, but this is the only one I actually like. The rest are too ditsy for me. This tropical dress is £38.50 and could even stand to get a few grass stains on it.

There are only a few sizes left of this striped twist dress, but that's understandable since it's reduced to £11.25. I paid more than that for a glass of wine last week (accidentally, and it was quite nice). It also comes in coral. Get both! Get everything!

  1. What size is left in the 'stripe twisted dress'?
