Reasons to be chair-ful

I'm in the middle of getting ready to move house and I'm disproportionally excited about the fact this one will have room for a dining table. We already have the table (I enthusiastically bought one for our current flat before I realised I didn't have space for one). I've been obsessively bookmarking images like this. As ever the budget reality will probably be quite far away from the dream, but the high street does seem to be doing me a favour at the moment with plenty of colourful, cheerful chairs to pick from.

I love the simplicity of John Lewis's Flore chair. It's available in all your key colours: red, green, blue, yellow. These cost £89.

John Lewis is being especially colourful at the moment. They're also selling this Cafe chair, bright remakes of the classic Thonet chair. These are £99 each.

Also based on a classic design are these reproduction Tolix chairs available from Rockett St George. They're meant for the garden but I reckon you can use them inside as well. With six colours to pick from, these are the most expensive of the lot at £129 per chair.

And finally, the budget option. This pretty pastel chair is from ... BHS. A slightly unlikely choice but they've got some great retro designs at the moment. Take your pick from yellow, lime, pink or purple. Currently reduced to £30 in the sale, these chairs are definitely cheap and cheering.
