I am one of those rather annoying people who always likes to try their hand at making things that most other people are quite content to simply buy readymade from a shop. Things like jam, cordial and bread to name a few. What can I say, I like to embrace the do it yourself ethos in my life.
Ginger beer is one of my very favourite drinks. I have always wanted to have a go at making some myself, in true DIY spirit, but haven't quite gotten round to it just yet. Now, thanks to the lovely folks at Maiden, I have absolutely no excuse. In fact I can make myself lashings of the stuff, well 16 whole litres to be precise, with their DIY Ginger Beer Kit. It costs £6.50 and is available from Culture Label.
Ooh, I bought some of this at Christmas last year, but haven't got around to actually making any yet -- thanks for the reminder!
