Luscious Lingerie: Boux Avenue

I've been hearing very good things about the lingerie website Boux Avenue recently. They're not the fanciest lingerie website I've written about, but the same reports keep coming back: affordable, sexy, comfortable underwear. Sounds good to me! Here are my favourite sets.

I've still got a thing for geometric patterns. This pink geometric set goes up to a 38DD and the bra is £24. It's absolutely gorgeous and I always need more neon pink in my life.

Oooh hello, floral balconette bra. The bra and knicker set is £40 and the bra goes up to a 36F and the balcony style is so flattering on large chests. Gimme.

I don't often buy white underwear, nude always seems to be less obvious. That said, I really like this cute white set. It's only £36.

My favourite set is in the sale - that blossom bra is just £8! They've got a few sizes left (not mine, dagnamit) and there are loads of sale goodies to search through.

I really like Boux Avenue. It might not be the most glam site in the world (and the models might look a little strange in some poses), but their range is gorgeous and affordable and you can search by size (they go up to a H cup). I'm very impressed and I'm off to buy some new knickers.

  1. I bought the yellow set recently - it fits so well and that I'm going to buy the cornflower blue set too. Definitely recommend!

    1. The yellow set is so pretty. I'm all yellow underwear-ed up from my Mimi Holliday purchases.

  2. Their nightwear and chemises are amazing, and make me feel like a bit of a goddess. Plus their sales rock. Ooh and they've got petticoats for wearing under fifties dresses for £30. Bargain.

    1. It was you and Alex chatting about them last week that reminded me!

  3. Some of their bras are lovely and well done for going up to size H, however with band lets say 28 this is not that big. ;) Unfortunately I have read bad opinions about their bra fitters. :(

    1. But they go up to a 40H, Karolina!

    2. I meant cup size - some girls need 30K. :) And therefore I don't consider H cup big, because size of the cup depends on size of the band. :) There is no such thing as CUP size itself.

    3. Yep, I'm a 28J/JJ myself and there are very few brands that actually carry my size (thankfully Curvy Kate and Ewa Michalak exist!).

If you're interested in seeing some of the fitting experiences at Boux you can see them here:

I haven't tried them myself but here's hoping the fitting advice eventually improves there.

    4. We're only writing about the bras, which I've heard really great things about (read the comments further up the post - they've got some really happy customers). I think they're doing a good job at being affordable and carrying larger sizes. Not perfect, but I still really like their range.

I'll probably just get fitted elsewhere.

    5. Yes, great for going up to H and I love some of their colours and patterns. :) Good idea to get fitted elsewhere though. :) Perhaps you'll find this interesting: http://kel-kitty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/boux-avenue-boob-of-bra-fitting.html :) All the best!

  4. Hmm I dunno, they don't go smaller than a 30 back which is a shame. They are pretty though. This is a review I read of their fitting which doesn't seem great: http://fullerfigurefullerbust.com/2012/05/07/boux-avenue-store-and-fitting-review/

    1. Sorry to double-post! Disappointingly, none of the ones you feature above even come in a 30 back, so really most of their pretty stuff comes in 32-36 inch backs only...

    2. I actually really like this one which is available in a 30 back:

This one is cute as well:

We're not reviewing their fitters or the shop, but their bras are brilliantly priced and there's a pretty big range. I've had terrible bra fittings in M&S but I still buy their bras. I really like the range at Boux Avenue.

  6. Thank you for finally doing a post that have some, if not a lot, smaller sizes. It seems that almost every lingere post is focussed on bigger busts. There are small people too! So I'm glad that there are a few things for me to look at rather than the usual clicking on the link to find I can't buy anything.
