Shoe Porn: Five Fabulous Flats

Ladies, we need to talk. It's about your office footwear. You look gorgeous the second you get to you desk, but frankly you look a hot mess walking from the train station to the office in a suit and a tatty ol' pair of trainers. I know they're comfy, but with so many gorgeous flats out there to choose from, there's really no need to resort to trainers. Here are some fabulous flats that will get you out of your trainer-commute habit.

Jones Booktmaker is your friend. They've become a little more fashionable recently, and their sales are definitely worth keeping an eye on. These leather tan flats are £59 in the sale. Those patent bow flats at the top of the article? They're in the sale and they're £35. In 3-5 working days they'll be on my feet.

If you're changing your shoes for heels when you get to work, they can be whatever colour you like. Even neon yellow. These gorgeously gorgeous yellow loafers are £22 from ASOS. I want some of that action.

If you think I'm going to bypass shoes that are pink, leopard print and £25 then you don't know me at all. I love you, Miss Selfridge.

Studs are hot. These stampy studded flats are £95 from Kurt Geiger. Don't go kicking anyone in the shins.

No more trainer wearing on the office commute now, please. Your feet are better than that.

  1. Excellent finds! I love the patent bow flats but think the winning pink and leopard combo of the Miss Selfridge shoes means they're the lucky winners that get to grace my feet...

  2. Lovely for weekend wanders around town, but I'm afraid my half hour walk uphill to work requires something a little more trainer shaped.

I'm quite liking my little black pumas at the moment. They're very comfy and definitely of the trainer camp, but cute with it. http://www.vivaladiva.com/shop/puma-h-street/ue727/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=5609&promo=1116&cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-VivaLaDiva-_-Product%20Feeds-_-na&CAWELAID=1279607059#colour:BLACK,size:

Classic black Converse hightops also look surprisingly good with much officewear.

Also, does anybody else find ballet flats surprisingly evil to break in? They look so damn sensible, but they lie.

    1. And what about us flat-footed ladies who can't wear flats without a) gubbing our knees; b) destroying the shoes? I can't justify even twenty quid for shoes that'll end up flattened and mis-shapen in a fortnight, never mind £95!

      'Mon the trainers.

    2. If there's an actual reason for it, sure. Just something that bugs me when I see it in London. I don't think the office ladies have half-hour uphill walks.

    3. I've been told it's very New York to walk to work in trainers - if it's good enough for them... :)

    4. Haha! OK, we'll agree to disagree and just look at the nice shoes instead. Which are your favourite for weekend wandering?

  5. Loving the black pair and tan pair, roll on pay day! I agree with the trainer thing, unless you have an actual reason steer clear of trainers, they're just not pretty! I walk 20 mins up a hill to get to the tube and still avoid trainers lol x
