Shop In The Spotlight: Country Vintage

I have a bit of a thing at the moment about afternoon tea. As in proper afternoon tea - crumpets, scones, clotted cream, sandwiches cut into triangles, the works. And as much as it has to taste right, part of the appeal of afternoon tea is the ceremony around it. That means dedicated plates for cake. And cake forks. And dainty cups and saucers instead of chunky mugs. And table cloths. Ideally all vintage.

Finding all of that requires a lot of effort though which is where Country Vintage come in. They've done all the hard work for you.

Look. A tea set for 6 people for only £60. Pretty and a bargain.

How about this linen table cloth to put it on? It's hand embroidered and only £15.

And because you should look as pretty as your table, why not treat yourself to this 1940s necklace? It would be rude not to at only £15.

Can't see anything you like? The lovely folk at Country Vintage will help source stuff for you if you ask them nicely. I'm off to plan my next afternoon tea.

All items available at time of posting though as they are vintage, once they're gone, they're gone. There's plenty of other lovely stuff though. Prices exclude P&P.

  1. Totally my kind of thing, although I have vintage tea sets coming out of my ears at the moment!
